About Raven

Raven Magwood Goodson is a filmmaker, bestselling author, and motivational speaker who is truly a force to be reckoned with. The nationally recognized “achievement expert” became a national gymnastics champion at age 12, graduated from high school at 16 years old as valedictorian with a 5.1 GPA, graduated from Clemson University’s Honors College at 19 with a perfect 4.0 GPA, became the co-owner of an 18,000 square-foot gymnastics facility at 23, and wrote/produced/co-directed an internationally distributed feature film, Haunted Trail, by the time she was 28.

Starring Desi Banks, Haunted Trail is a horror-comedy co-directed by Raven alongside director Robin Givens. Upon release, the film quickly became the #1 streaming film on BET+ and was subsequently aired on both BET Her and BET. The film is now additionally available on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Tubi. Raven’s latest film, Finding Tony, is a sports drama starring Stephen Bishop, David Banner, Columbus Short, Josh Ventura, Rodney Perry, amongst others. Executive Produced by Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis, the film is being positioned to be one of the top independent films of 2024.

As a motivational speaker, Raven has worked with tens of thousands of students, educators, CEOs, business leaders, youth activists, and many more. Her bestselling book, The 7 Practices of Prosperous Women, has been used as a theme for many of her keynote presentations.

Although Raven stays very busy, she enjoys spending time with family. When she’s not writing, speaking, coaching, or shooting a film, Raven enjoys vacationing around the globe with her husband, shopping, and solving Rubik’s cubes.
