I Appreciate You! – Wednesday Wisdom

Because of your support, the 2016 Student Athlete Summit was an enormous success! Our speakers were phenomenal, and there were over 900 individuals in attendance at the groundbreaking event! Nearly a week later, I am still receiving emails from students, parents, coaches, CEOs, and guidance counselors about how enlightening the event was. One thing that really resonated with many of the attendees was a quote from our keynote speaker Eric Thomas. In his presentation, he gave the reason why he has so many degrees despite the fact that he absolutely hates school. He said, "I hate school, but I love options... I HATE SCHOOL, BUT I LOVE OPTIONS!" Watch This! – Wednesday Wisdom

Last August, my friend Marcus Lattimore was the keynote speaker at my foundation’s Student Athlete Summit. During the Q&A session after his speech, a young boy asked, “Marcus, when times get hard, why don’t you give up?” Without missing a beat, Marcus replied, “I don’t give up, because I know someone’s watching me.” The whole audience was quiet. Marcus spoke words that were simple, yet profoundly true. Whether you realize it or not, there is always someone watching you. In fact, that very notion is one of the main sources of my own motivation. I work hard, not only to achieve the goals I have set for myself, but to [...]
